We watch it so you do not have to.
Monitoring, maintenance, backups and support for the systems your business runs on, for a flat monthly fee. Every covered system is listed by name in your agreement. Anything not on the list is not covered, and this page tells you exactly what that means.
Three things true of every system on the list.
Monitoring runs around the clock. People respond during your coverage hours, and the agreement says what happens outside them.
A published list, not a promise to look after everything.
Before care starts, we walk your office and write down every system that will be covered, by name. That list is attached to the agreement. Add something later and the list, and the fee, change in writing.
| Category | What it means |
|---|---|
| Internet gateway and firewall | The equipment between your office and the internet |
| Network switches and Wi-Fi | The wired network and the access points |
| Storage and backup | On-site storage, cloud backup jobs and the offsite copy |
| Workstations | Business computers your staff use every day |
| Business accounts | Microsoft or Google business email and user accounts |
| Systems we set up | The CRM, booking and phone setup from an OptiVis Marketing project |
The exact list is attached to your agreement.
Watched. Maintained. Answered. Within limits you can read.
Monitoring
Every system on the list watched around the clock, with alerts that reach us before they reach you.
Maintenance and updates
Patches, updates and housekeeping on a schedule, not only when something breaks.
Backup and recovery
Backups tested nightly, and a recovery plan we rehearse with you.
Support allowance
A monthly allowance of support hours, with response targets during coverage hours. Hours beyond the allowance are billed at a stated rate.
Response targets are how fast a person starts on the problem. They are not a promise of when it is fixed, because some fixes depend on a vendor or a part.
Business hours, Central time.
A person responds to support requests and alerts during coverage hours, within the response targets in your agreement.
Monitoring never stops.
Alerts are logged and seen around the clock. Who responds after hours, and how fast, is written into your agreement.
Read this part first.
Most disputes with an IT provider start with something both sides assumed was included. So here is the list.
- Anything not on your asset list.Including personal devices and home networks.
- New projects.Moves, expansions, new offices and new systems are quoted separately as projects.
- Hardware, parts and software licenses.Billed separately when something needs replacing or renewing.
- Other companies' outages. When your internet provider, phone carrier or a software vendor is down, we confirm it is on their side and keep you updated, but we cannot fix their systems.
- Data that was never on a covered backup. We recover what the backups hold, which is why the backups are tested nightly.
- Security incident investigation. We contain the problem and restore service; forensic investigation, legal notification and insurance work are separate.
- Compliance audits and certifications.Care keeps systems maintained; it does not certify them against a standard.
- Websites, ads and content. Those are separate OptiVis Marketing services with their own prices.
- Support beyond the monthly allowance.Billed at the stated hourly rate.
A flat monthly fee for a listed set of systems.
The fee is set by the asset list. More systems on the list means a higher fee; the list and the fee always change together, in writing. Care is optional and never required by a project contract.
Priced by your asset list. Published asset list and support allowance.
- 24/7 monitoring on every system
- Backups tested nightly
- 0 public ports on client networks
- Maintenance and updates on a schedule
- A monthly support allowance
Systems care, answered plainly.
- What does OptiVis Marketing systems care cost?
- Systems care is a flat monthly fee set by the systems on your asset list. The list and the fee always change together, in writing.
- What happens if something fails at 2 a.m.?
- Monitoring runs around the clock, so the failure is logged and alerted the moment it happens. Who responds after hours, and how fast, is written into your agreement before care starts.
- Do you look after systems you did not set up?
- Yes, once they are on the asset list. Before care starts, we review each system, and anything unsafe or unsupported is fixed as a project or left off the list.
- Is there a contract?
- Care is a flat monthly agreement with the asset list attached.
- What does systems care not include?
- Systems care does not include anything off your asset list, new projects, hardware and licenses, other companies' outages, compliance certification, or support beyond the monthly allowance. The full list is on this page.
