AI search visibility

Get found when customers ask ChatGPT or Google.

When someone asks an AI assistant for a body shop near them or a barber open on Sunday, the answer is built from what the web already says about local businesses. Showing up in that answer is mostly local SEO done properly. We do it properly, and we will not promise you a mention.

The honest version

There is no secret AI trick.

Google’s own guidance for its AI answers says the same SEO best practices still apply, and that there is nothing extra to do to qualify. ChatGPT’s search cites public websites and works with outside search providers. So the businesses that show up are, mostly, the ones whose website, Business Profile and reviews are complete, consistent and easy to read. Anyone selling AI visibility as a separate secret discipline is selling local SEO under a new name.

“There are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode, nor other special optimizations necessary.”
Google Search Central, “AI features and your website”
What we do

Six things that decide whether you get named.

01

Business Profile, complete

Categories, hours, services, service area and photos filled in and kept current, because an answer engine cannot recommend what it cannot read.

02

Reviews, earned

A simple, steady way to ask every real customer for a review, and a reply to every review that comes in.

03

The same name everywhere

Your business name, address and phone number identical on your site, your profile and the directories that matter.

04

Structured data

Schema on your website that tells search engines plainly what you do, where, and for whom.

05

Answer-ready pages

The questions your customers actually ask, answered in the first sentence of a page, so the answer can be quoted.

06

Open to the right crawlers

A site that does not block the search crawlers AI assistants use to read it.

What we will not do

The promises we leave to other agencies.

  • Promise a ranking or a mention. No one controls what an AI assistant says. Google says plainly: “There’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking on Google.”
  • Buy or fake reviews.Google removes fake reviews and can restrict a profile that breaks the rule. Not worth it.
  • Build pages for towns you do not serve.Google’s spam policies name pages aimed at specific cities that funnel visitors to one page as doorway pages. We build location pages only where you actually work.
  • Sell you a secret.Every step on this page is something you could check yourself. We will show you each one.
How we check

We ask the questions your customers ask, and write down the answers.

  1. 01

    Baseline

We ask ChatGPT and Google the questions a customer would ask about your trade and your area, and record what comes back, with the date.

  2. 02

    Fix

Business Profile, reviews, consistency, schema and answer-ready pages, in order of what is missing.

  3. 03

    Re-check

The same questions, asked again on a schedule, recorded the same way. You see the before and the after, including when nothing has changed.

Check our work

This site is built the way we would build yours.

One organization record in the site’s structured data, answers written so the first sentence stands on its own, and a short, hand-written summary file for AI tools at /llms.txt. We have no evidence that file changes what an AI assistant says, so we treat it as cheap housekeeping, not a lever. Open it and read the same summary an AI tool would.

For online stores, OptiVis Labs’ AI Shelf Check is a free readiness check of whether AI shopping answers can read and cite your products.

Straight answers

AI search, answered plainly.

Can OptiVis Marketing get my business recommended by ChatGPT?
No one can promise that, and OptiVis Marketing does not. What we do is make sure everything an AI assistant reads about your business is complete, consistent and easy to quote: your website, your Business Profile and your reviews.
Is AI search optimization different from local SEO?
For a local business, mostly no. Google's own guidance says the same SEO best practices apply to its AI answers, with no extra requirements. The work is local SEO done properly, plus pages written so an answer can be lifted from them.
How long does it take to show up in AI answers?
We will not put a date on it. No one controls when Google or ChatGPT re-reads a business. We record a baseline first, then re-check on a schedule, so you can see what changed and when.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
Probably not, and it is not where results come from. An llms.txt file is a short plain-text summary of a website for AI tools. We keep one on our own site as cheap housekeeping, but we have no evidence it changes what an AI assistant says.
What about online stores with large catalogs?
Large catalogs are a different job. Getting thousands of products found by AI shopping assistants is catalog and data engineering, handled by the engineering division of OptiVis at optivis.dev.
